About Shalom Aleinu

Shalom Aleinu was founded in 2025 by individuals who believe in peace — and act on that belief.

The Fund was created to address a significant gap in the support and financing of initiatives that advance a future peace agreement between Israel, the Palestinians, and neighboring states. Years of declining investment in peace-oriented programs have left an educational and communicative vacuum increasingly filled by alternative narratives.

We believe that a civic culture supportive of peace, and broad public consent, are necessary conditions for the success and sustainability of any political agreement.

Just as the peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan were sustained by public backing, any comprehensive resolution of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict will require broad support within Israeli society.

We advance this mission by inviting bold and active partnership — to invest in the civic foundations of peace for our shared future and for the generations to come.

The Meaning of the Name

“Shalom Aleinu” is a Hebrew expression meaning “Peace upon us.”

The phrase appears in Jewish liturgy, where it is spoken as a hope. We use it differently. Not as a wish — but as a commitment.

Peace is not summoned. It is built.

Shalom Aleinu reflects a simple idea: peace requires responsibility. It must be advanced deliberately, institutionally, and collectively.

Shalom Aleinu is a call for action. We invite you to join.

Legal Structure

Shalom Aleinu operates under the Israeli public benefit company (PBC) Keren MiShalom LeMetziut Ltd., a legally registered public interest entity under Israeli law.

Governance and Leadership

Shalom Aleinu is governed by an independent Board of Directors combining experience in management, education, civil society, academic research, communication, and finance.
